Domain Blacklist for Privacy

BetterHistory provides a domain blacklist feature that allows you to prevent specific websites from being recorded in your browsing history. This ensures better privacy and cleaner history management.

🛡️ How Does Domain Blacklist Work?

Once a domain is blacklisted, BetterHistory will stop recording any visits to that website. If you add a domain for the first time, BetterHistory will also remove all previous history entries related to that domain.

⚠ Note: The first time you add a domain to the blacklist, BetterHistory may take up to 5 minutes to remove all its past records.

🛠️ Ways to Blacklist a Domain

1️⃣ Manually Add from the BetterHistory Interface

• Open BetterHistory.
• Navigate to the Blacklist Domain Section in settings.
• Enter the domain (e.g., example.com) and save it.

2️⃣ Blacklist from Search Results & History List

• In the BetterHistory interface, hover over any history entry.
• A Blacklist button will appear.
• Click it, and that domain will be added to the blacklist immediately.

3️⃣ Blacklist a Website Using the Context Menu

• Right-click anywhere on a webpage.
• In the browser's context menu, select "Blacklist this domain".
• The domain (e.g., xxxxyz.com) will be instantly added to the blacklist.

🚫 Removing a Domain from the Blacklist

To remove a blacklisted domain:

• Open BetterHistory.
• Go to the Blacklist Domain Section in settings.
• Find the domain you want to unblock and remove it.
• After removal, future visits to that site will be recorded again.
